1 Al Vencedor: sobre Susan-Hedut: Mictam de David, para enseñar. Cuando tuvo guerra contra Aram-Naharaim y contra Aram Sobat, y volvió Joab, e hirió a Edom en el valle de las salinas, <I>matando</I> doce mil. Oh Dios, tú nos has desechado, nos disipaste; te has airado: vuélvete a nosotros.

You have rejected us, God, and burst upon us; you have been angry—now restore us!
2 Hiciste temblar la tierra, la abriste; sana sus quiebras, porque titubea.

You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking.
3 Has hecho ver a tu pueblo duras cosas; nos hiciste beber el vino de temblor.

You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger.

But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.
5 Para que se libren tus amados, salva con tu diestra, y óyeme.

Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered.

God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
7 Mío <I>es</I> Galaad, y mío <I>es</I> Manasés; y Efraín <I>es</I> la fortaleza de mi cabeza; Judá, mi legislador;

Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter.
8 Moab, la vasija de mi lavatorio; sobre Edom echaré mi zapato; haz júbilo por razón de mí, oh Palestina.

Moab is my washbasin, on Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
9 ¿Quién me llevará a la ciudad fortalecida? ¿Quién me llevará hasta Idumea?

Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Ciertamente, tú, oh Dios, <I>que</I> nos habías desechado; y tu, oh Dios, <I>que</I> no salías con nuestras armadas.

Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us and no longer go out with our armies?
11 Danos socorro contra el enemigo, que vana <I>es</I> la salud de los hombres.

Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless.
12 En Dios haremos ejército; y él hollará nuestros enemigos.

With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
