1 Salmo de David, estando en el desierto de Judá. Dios, Dios mío <I>eres</I> tú; a ti madrugaré; mi alma tuvo sed de ti, mi carne te desea en tierra de sequedad y transida sin aguas.

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
2 Así te miré en santidad, cuando vi tu fortaleza y tu gloria.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.
3 Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida; mis labios te alabarán.

Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
4 Así te bendeciré en mi vida; en tu Nombre alzaré mis manos.

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 Como de sebo y de grosura será saciada mi alma; y con labios de alegría te alabará mi boca,

I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.
6 cuando me acordaré de ti en mi lecho, <I>cuando</I> meditaré de ti en las velas de la noche.

On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.
7 Porque has sido mi socorro; y <I>así</I> en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.
8 Mi alma se apegó tras <I>de</I> ti; tu diestra me ha sustentado.

I cling to you; your right hand upholds me.
9 Mas los <I>que</I> para destrucción buscaron mi alma, descendieron en las bajuras de la tierra.

Those who want to kill me will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
10 Los matarán a filo de espada; serán porción de <I>las</I> zorras.

They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.
11 Y el rey se alegrará en Dios; serán alabados todos los que juran por él; porque la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.

But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
