1 Reyes 6:12-22

12 Esta Casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos, e hicieres mis derechos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo tendré firme contigo mi palabra que hablé a David tu padre;

13 y habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel, y no dejaré a mi pueblo Israel.

14 Así que, Salomón labró la Casa, y la acabó.

15 Y edificó las paredes de la Casa por dentro con tablas de cedro, vistiéndola de madera por dentro, desde el solado de la casa hasta las paredes de la techumbre; y el solado cubrió de dentro con madera de haya.

16 Edificó también al cabo de la Casa veinte codos de tablas de cedro, desde el solado hasta las paredes, y se labró en la Casa un oratorio, que es el lugar santísimo.

17 Y la Casa, a saber, el templo adentro, tenía cuarenta codos.

18 Y la Casa estaba cubierta de cedro por dentro, y tenía entalladuras de calabazas silvestres y de botones de flores. Todo era cedro; ninguna piedra se veía.

19 Y adornó el oratorio por dentro en medio de la Casa, para poner allí el arca del pacto del SEÑOR.

20 Y el oratorio estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, y otros veinte de ancho, y otros veinte de altura; y lo vistió de oro purísimo; asimismo cubrió el altar de cedro.

21 Así que vistió Salomón de oro puro la Casa por dentro, y cerró la puerta del oratorio con cadenas de oro, y lo vistió de oro.

22 Vistió pues de oro toda la Casa hasta el cabo; y asimismo vistió de oro todo el altar que estaba delante del oratorio.

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST KINGS 6

This chapter gives an account of the building of the temple, for which preparations were before made and begins with the time of its building, 1Ki 6:1; gives the dimensions of it and the porch before it, 1Ki 6:2,3; observes the windows in it and chambers about it, 1Ki 6:4-10; and while it was building, Solomon had a word from the Lord relative to it, 1Ki 6:11-14; and then the account goes on concerning the walls of the house, and the flooring of it, 1Ki 6:15-18; and the oracle in it, and the cherubim in that, 1Ki 6:19-30; and the doors into it, and the carved work of them, 1Ki 6:31-36; and the chapter is concluded with observing the time when it was begun and finished 1Ki 6:37,38.
