We’re taking our time here in Matthew chapter thirteen due to its rich contents. Today we’ll concentrate on a couple of parables from Jesus. One that speaks of a hidden treasure and the other a costly pearl!

We’re exploring one of the parables of Christ that speaks of a treasure hidden in a field. So who is this treasure? Pastor Jeff will weigh in on this today.

So far, in this series we’ve typically looked at one parable at a time, breaking down each analogy. Our primary text has been Matthew, thirteen, which records many of these parables. And we will be in that portion of Scripture today, but we’re also looking at the Old Testament, which gives a foreshadowing of why and how believers receive these “literary devices,” and their methods of communicating the truth of God’s written word.
