Gambling by cell phone has sky-rocketed. The number of betting pages downloaded was expected to approach 3 million in 2005, a rise of 367 percent since 2004. The conclusion of research by Mintel sparked concern that the almost unlimited access to gambling provided by cell phones will fuel a rise in addiction.
