16 E come Achab ebbe udito che Naboth era morto, si levò per scendere alla vigna di Naboth d’Izreel, e prenderne possesso.

1 Kings 21:16

And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead,
&c.] Of which he was informed by Jezebel:

that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite,
to take possession of it;
if it was in Jezreel, that was sixteen miles from Samaria, and lay lower than that, in a valley, and therefore he is said to go down to it; and which he did very likely in great state and pomp, many of his nobles and captains accompanying him, as we read that Jehu and Bidkar did ride after him at this time, ( 2 Kings 9:25 ) .

14 Poi mandarono a dire a Izebel: "Naboth è stato lapidato ed è morto".
15 Quando Izebel ebbe udito che Naboth era stato lapidato ed era morto, disse ad Achab: "Lèvati, prendi possesso della vigna di Naboth d’Izreel, ch’egli rifiutò di darti per danaro; giacché Naboth non vive più, è morto".
16 E come Achab ebbe udito che Naboth era morto, si levò per scendere alla vigna di Naboth d’Izreel, e prenderne possesso.
17 Allora la parola dell’Eterno fu rivolta ad Elia, il Tishbita, in questi termini:
18 "Lèvati, scendi incontro ad Achab, re d’Israele, che sta in Samaria; ecco, egli è nella vigna di Naboth, dov’è sceso per prenderne possesso.
