2 Cronache 7:8-10

8 E in quel tempo Salomone celebrò la festa per sette giorni, e tutto Israele con lui. Ci fu una grandissima raunanza di gente, venuta da tutto il paese: dai dintorni di Hamath fino al torrente d’Egitto.

9 L’ottavo giorno fecero una raunanza solenne; poiché celebrarono la dedicazione dell’altare per sette giorni, e la festa per altri sette giorni.

10 Il ventitreesimo giorno del settimo mese Salomone rimandò alle sue tende il popolo allegro e col cuor contento per il bene che l’Eterno avea fatto a Davide, a Salomone e ad Israele, suo popolo.

In this chapter is an account of the Lord's acceptance of the sacrifices offered at the dedication of the temple by fire, to the great surprise and encouragement of the people, 2Ch 7:1-7, and of the feast kept on that account, and the feast of tabernacles, 2Ch 7:8-12, and of the Lord's appearance to Solomon, giving an answer to his prayer, 2Ch 7:13-22.
