16 Manasse sparse inoltre moltissimo sangue innocente: tanto, da empirne Gerusalemme da un capo all’altro; senza contare i peccati che fece commettere a Giuda, facendo ciò ch’è male agli occhi dell’Eterno.

2 Kings 21:16

Moreover, Manasseh shed innocent blood very much
Putting to death the prophets that reproved him and his people for their idolatries, and such who would not comply therewith; and it is commonly said, both by Jewish and Christian writers, that Isaiah was slain, and even sawn asunder by him, (See Gill on Hebrews 11:37),

till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another;
a metaphor taken from filling a vessel brimful:

beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was
evil in the sight of the Lord;
the sin of idolatry he drew them into, and even obliged them to commit.

14 E abbandonerò quel che resta della mia eredità; li darò nelle mani dei loro nemici, e diverranno preda e bottino di tutti i loro nemici,

15 perché hanno fatto ciò ch’è male agli occhi miei, e m’hanno provocato ad ira dal giorno che i loro padri uscirono dall’Egitto, fino al dì d’oggi".

16 Manasse sparse inoltre moltissimo sangue innocente: tanto, da empirne Gerusalemme da un capo all’altro; senza contare i peccati che fece commettere a Giuda, facendo ciò ch’è male agli occhi dell’Eterno.

17 Il rimanente delle azioni di Manasse, e tutto quello che fece, e i peccati che commise, si trova scritto nel libro delle Cronache dei re di Giuda.

18 Manasse s’addormentò coi suoi padri, e fu sepolto nel giardino della sua casa, nel giardino di Uzza; e Amon, suo figliuolo, regnò in luogo suo.
