2 Samuel 2:2

So David went up thither
From Ziklag to Hebron, which was sixteen miles according to Bunting F25

and his two wives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail, Nabal's
wife, the Carmelite;
who were beloved by him, and who had shared with him in his troubles, and which he took with him to partake of his honour and grandeur, wealth and riches; in which he was now a type of Christ. See ( Romans 8:17 ) ( 2 Timothy 2:11 2 Timothy 2:12 ) .

1 Dopo questo, Davide consultò l’Eterno, dicendo: "Debbo io salire in qualcuna delle città di Giuda?" L’Eterno gli rispose: "Sali". Davide chiese: "Dove salirò io?" L’Eterno rispose:
2 "A Hebron". Davide dunque vi salì con le sue due mogli, Abinoam la Izreelita, ed Abigail la Carmelita ch’era stata moglie di Nabal.
3 Davide vi menò pure la gente ch’era con lui, ciascuno con la sua famiglia, e si stabilirono nelle città di Hebron.
4 E gli uomini di Giuda vennero e unsero quivi Davide come re della casa di Giuda. Ora fu riferito a Davide ch’erano stati gli uomini di Jabes di Galaad a seppellire Saul.
5 Allora Davide inviò de’ messi agli uomini di Jabes di Galaad, e fece dir loro: "Siate benedetti dall’Eterno, voi che avete mostrato questa benignità verso Saul, vostro signore, dandogli sepoltura!
