2 Samuel 3:4

And the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith
The same that usurped the throne before his father's death, to anticipate Solomon, and died by his order, ( 1 Kings 1:5 ) ( 2:25 ) ;

and the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
of whom we read nowhere else.

2 E nacquero a Davide dei figliuoli a Hebron. Il suo primogenito fu Amnon, di Ahinoam, la Izreelita;
3 il secondo fu Kileab di Abigail, la Carmelita, ch’era stata moglie di Nabal; il terzo fu Absalom, figliuolo di Maaca, figliuola di Talmai re di Gheshur;
4 il quarto fu Adonija, figliuolo di Hagghith; il quinto fu Scefatia, figliuolo di Abital,
5 e il sesto fu Ithream, figliuolo di Egla, moglie di Davide. Questi nacquero a Davide in Hebron.
6 Durante la guerra fra la casa di Saul e la casa di Davide, Abner si tenne costante dalla parte della casa di Saul.
