Deuteronomy 29:8

And we took their land
Which belonged to the two kings, the lands of Jazer, Gilead, and Bashan, fine countries for pasturage:

and gave it for an inheritances unto the Reubenites, and to the
Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh;
who requested it, and to whom it was granted on certain conditions, and they were now in possession of it; see ( Numbers 32:1-42 ) .

6 Non avete mangiato pane, non avete bevuto vino né bevanda alcoolica, affinché conosceste che io sono l’Eterno, il vostro Dio.
7 E quando siete arrivati a questo luogo, e Sihon re di Heshbon, e Og re di Basan sono usciti contro noi per combattere, noi li abbiamo sconfitti,
8 abbiam preso il loro paese, e l’abbiam dato come proprietà ai Rubeniti, ai Gaditi e alla mezza tribù di Manasse.
9 Osservate dunque le parole di questo patto e mettetele in pratica, affinché prosperiate in tutto ciò che farete.
10 Oggi voi comparite tutti davanti all’Eterno, al vostro Dio, i vostri capi, le vostre tribù, i vostri anziani, i vostri ufficiali, tutti gli uomini d’Israele,
