Ezekiel 22:8

Thou hast despised mine holy things
The holy place, the temple, and the worship of it; holy persons, the priests that officiated there; holy sacrifices offered up by them; the holy word of God read and explained; and all holy ordinances there administered. These words are directed to Jerusalem, the holy city, and to the inhabitants of it, who ought to have been holy men: and hast profaned my sabbaths;
by doing their own work, and neglecting the service of God; and which was an inlet, as it usually is, to all manner of sin.

6 Ecco, i principi d’Israele, ognuno secondo il suo potere, sono occupati in te a spandere il sangue;
7 in te si sprezza padre e madre; in mezzo a te si opprime lo straniero; in te si calpesta l’orfano e la vedova.
8 Tu disprezzi le mie cose sante, tu profani i miei sabati.
9 In te c’è della gente che calunnia per spandere il sangue, in te si mangia sui monti, in mezzo a te si commettono scelleratezze.
10 E in te si scoprono le vergogne del padre, in te si violenta la donna durante la sua impuritĂ ;
