10 Scrissi tutto questo in un atto, lo sigillai, chiamai i testimoni, e pesai il danaro nella bilancia.

Jeremiah 32:10

And I subscribed the evidence
Or, "wrote in a book" ^F21; the instrument or bill of sale, the deed of purchase; which described the field sold, and expressed the condition on which the purchase was made; and by subscribing it he agreed to it, and laid himself under obligation to perform it: and sealed [it];
for the further confirmation of it: and took witnesses;
to be present at the payment of the money, and to sign the deed likewise: and weighed [him] the money in the balances;
this he did a second time; he weighed it first before Hanameel himself, and then before the witnesses; everything was done fairly, and with great exactness.

8 E Hanameel, figliuolo del mio zio, venne da me, secondo la parola dell’Eterno, nel cortile della prigione, e mi disse: Ti prego, compra il mio campo ch’è ad Anatoth, nel territorio di Beniamino; giacché tu hai il diritto di successione e il diritto di riscatto, compratelo!" Allora riconobbi che questa era parola dell’Eterno.

9 E io comprai da Hanameel, figliuolo del mio zio, il campo ch’era ad Anatoth, gli pesai il danaro, diciassette sicli d’argento.

10 Scrissi tutto questo in un atto, lo sigillai, chiamai i testimoni, e pesai il danaro nella bilancia.

11 Poi presi l’atto di compra, quello sigillato contenente i termini e le condizioni, e quello aperto,

12 e consegnai l’atto di compra a Baruc, figliuolo di Neria, figliuolo di Mahseia, in presenza di Hanameel mio cugino, in presenza dei testimoni che avevano sottoscritto l’atto di compra, e in presenza di tutti i Giudei che sedevano nel cortile della prigione.
