Luke 5:22

But when Jesus perceived their thoughts
Being God omniscient;

he answering said unto them, what reason ye in your hearts?
This he said, not as being ignorant what their reasonings were, for it is before said he perceived their thoughts, but to expose the wickedness of them; in one exemplar of Beza's it is added, "evil things", as in ( Matthew 9:4 ) . (See Gill on Matthew 9:4).

20 Ed egli, veduta la loro fede, disse: O uomo, i tuoi peccati ti sono rimessi.

21 Allora gli scribi e i Farisei cominciarono a ragionare, dicendo: Chi è costui che pronunzia bestemmie? Chi può rimettere i peccati se non Dio solo?

22 Ma Gesù, conosciuti i loro ragionamenti, prese a dir loro: Che ragionate nei vostri cuori?

23 Che cosa è più agevole dire: I tuoi peccati ti son rimessi, oppur dire: Lèvati e cammina?

24 Ora, affinché sappiate che il Figliuol dell’uomo ha sulla terra autorità di rimettere i peccati: Io tel dico (disse al paralitico), lèvati, togli il tuo lettuccio e vattene a casa tua.
