Neemia 7:61-65

61 Ed ecco quelli che tornarono da Tel-Melah, da Tel-Harsha, da Kerub-Addon e da Immer, e che non avean potuto stabilire la loro genealogia patriarcale per dimostrare ch’erano Israeliti:
62 figliuoli di Delaia, figliuoli di Tobia, figliuoli di Nekoda, seicento quarantadue.
63 Di tra i sacerdoti: figliuoli di Habaia, figliuoli di Hakkots, figliuoli di Barzillai, il quale avea sposato una delle figliuole di Barzillai, il Galaadita, e fu chiamato col nome loro.
64 Questi cercarono i loro titoli genealogici, ma non li trovarono, e furon quindi esclusi, come impuri, dal sacerdozio;
65 e il governatore disse loro di non mangiare cose santissime finché non si presentasse un sacerdote per consultar Dio con l’Urim e il Thummim.

Nehemiah having built the wall, and set up the doors, appointed two persons to take the charge of the city, and set watches for the safety of it, and to take special care about opening and shutting the gates of it, Ne 7:1-3, and concerned he was for the peopling of it, and having found a register of the first comers to it, gives their names, Ne 7:4-69 and some account of the freewill offerings made for the work they came about, Ne 7:70-73.
