Psalms 50:9 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 50:9

I will take no bullock out of thy house
That is, will accept of none; such sacrifices being no more agreeable to the will of God, ( Hebrews 10:5 Hebrews 10:6 Hebrews 10:8 ) ; the "bullock" is mentioned, that being a principal creature used in sacrifice; as also the following,

[nor] he goats out of thy folds;
the reasons follow.

Psalms 50:9 In-Context

7 "Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God.
8 I do not reprove you for your sacrifices; your burnt offerings are continually before me.
9 I will accept no bull from your house, nor he-goat from your folds.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know all the birds of the air, and all that moves in the field is mine.
