31 De veintitr茅s a帽os era Joach芒z cuando comenz贸 谩 reinar, y rein贸 tres meses en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fu茅 Amutal, hija de Jerem铆as de Libna.
32 Y 茅l hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehov谩, conforme 谩 todas las cosas que sus padres hab铆an hecho.
33 Y ech贸lo preso Fara贸n Nech芒o en Ribla en la provincia de Hamath, reinando 茅l en Jerusalem; 茅 impuso sobre la tierra una multa de cien talentos de plata, y uno de oro.
34 Entonces Fara贸n Nech芒o puso por rey 谩 Eliacim hijo de Jos铆as, en lugar de Jos铆as su padre, y mud贸le el nombre en el de Joacim; y tom贸 谩 Joach芒z, y llev贸lo 谩 Egipto, y muri贸 all铆.
35 Y Joacim pag贸 谩 Fara贸n la plata y el oro; mas hizo apreciar la tierra para dar el dinero conforme al mandamiento de Fara贸n, sacando la plata y oro del pueblo de la tierra, de cada uno seg煤n la estimaci贸n de su hacienda, para dar 谩 Fara贸n Nech芒o.

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 23

This chapter treats of Josiah's reading the book of the law, and of him and the people renewing the covenant with God, 2Ki 23:1-3, and of his removing idols and idolatry in every shape, and witchcraft, out of the land, which he did in the sincerity of his heart, 2Ki 23:4-25, yet the wrath of God was still determined upon the land, 2Ki 23:26-28 and Josiah was taken away by an untimely death, 2Ki 23:29,30 and was succeeded by two sons of his, one after another, whose reigns were wicked, 2Ki 23:31-37.
