because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the HolySpirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the HolySpirit.

Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the HolySpirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised HolySpirit,

Coming over to us, he took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, “The HolySpirit says, ‘In this way the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.’ ”

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the HolySpirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the HolySpirit.”

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the HolySpirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods. Your father, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners.
