16 Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz en alegría.

1 Chronicles 15:16

And David spake to the chief of the Levites
The six before mentioned, ( 1 Chronicles 15:11 )

to appoint their brethren to be the singers;
before the ark, as they brought it up:

with instruments of music, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals;
which were used in those times, see ( 2 Samuel 6:5 ) ( 13:8 )

sounding by lifting up the voice with joy;
the instrumental music was to be attended with vocal music, and that very sonorous and loud, and performed with all tokens of inward joy and gladness, as the occasion required.

14 Así los sacerdotes y los levitas se santificaron para traer el arca del SEÑOR Dios de Israel.

15 Y los hijos de los levitas trajeron el arca de Dios puesta sobre sus hombros en las barras, como lo había mandado Moisés conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR.

16 Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz en alegría.

17 Y los levitas constituyeron a Hemán hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, a Asaf hijo de Berequías; y de los hijos de Merari y de sus hermanos, a Etán hijo de Cusaías;

18 y con ellos a sus hermanos del segundo orden, a Zacarías, Ben y Jaaziel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Uni, Eliab, Benaía, Maasías, y Matatías, Elifelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, y Jeiel, los porteros.
