1 Kings 15:5

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord,
&c.] With respect to worship: and turned not aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life; especially in matters of religion, nor even in his moral walk and conversation, deliberately, studiously, and with design:

save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite;
the killing of him, and other sins which led on to it, and were in connection with it; Abarbinel thinks, because the affair of Bathsheba is not mentioned, that was not reckoned to David as a sin; but no doubt it was, and is included here.

3 Y anduvo en todos los pecados de su padre, que había hecho éste antes de él; y no fue su corazón perfecto con el SEÑOR su Dios, como el corazón de David su padre.

4 Mas por amor de David, le dio el SEÑOR su Dios lámpara en Jerusalén, despertándole a su hijo después de él, y confirmando a Jerusalén.

5 Por cuanto David había hecho lo recto ante los ojos del SEÑOR, y de ninguna cosa que le mandase se había apartado en todos los días de su vida, excepto el negocio de Urías heteo.

6 Y hubo guerra entre Roboam y Jeroboam todos los días de su vida.

7 Los demás de los hechos de Abiam, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no están escritas en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá? Y hubo guerra entre Abiam y Jeroboam.
