5 Y cuando el reino fue confirmado en su mano, hirió a sus siervos, los que habían muerto al rey su padre.

2 Kings 14:5

And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was strengthened in
his hand
That he was well settled on the throne, and had a share in the affection of the people, and the idolatry and murder his father had committed were worn off of the minds of the people, and the friends of the conspirators against him were become few or none:

that he slew his servants that had slain the king his father;
charged them with the murder in a court of judicature, obtained a sentence against them, and had them executed.

3 Y él hizo lo recto en ojos del SEÑOR, aunque no como David su padre; hizo conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho Joás su padre.

4 Con todo eso los altos no fueron quitados; que el pueblo aun sacrificaba y quemaba incienso en los altos.

5 Y cuando el reino fue confirmado en su mano, hirió a sus siervos, los que habían muerto al rey su padre.

6 Mas no mató a los hijos de los que le mataron, conforme a lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, donde el SEÑOR mandó, diciendo: No matarán a los padres por los hijos, ni a los hijos por los padres; mas cada uno morirá por su pecado.

7 Este también hirió diez mil idumeos en el valle de las Salinas, y tomó a Sela (la piedra ) por guerra, y la llamó Jocteel, hasta hoy.
