11 Y oyendo Micaías hijo de Gemarías, hijo de Safán, todas las palabras del SEÑOR del libro,

Jeremiah 36:11

When Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan
Who was present when Baruch read in the roll to the people in his father's chamber; but his father was absent, and was with the princes in the secretary's office at the same time, as ( Jeremiah 36:12 ) shows: the son seems to be a more religious man than the father, unless he was placed as a spy, to hear and see what he could: however, when he had heard out of the book all the words of the Lord:
which were spoken by the Lord to Jeremiah, and which Baruch read out of the book he had written in his hearing; for it is a vain conceit of Abarbinel, that Micaiah did not hear these words from the mouth of Baruch reading, but out of the book which he looked into; for then it would have been said, which he had "seen" or "read" out of the book, and not "heard".

9 Y aconteció en el año quinto de Joacim hijo de Josías, rey de Judá, en el mes noveno, que promulgaron ayuno en la presencia del SEÑOR, a todo el pueblo de Jerusalén, y a todo el pueblo que venía de las ciudades de Judá a Jerusalén.

10 Y Baruc leyó en el libro las palabras de Jeremías en la Casa del SEÑOR, en la cámara de Gemarías hijo de Safán escriba, en el atrio de arriba, a la entrada de la puerta nueva de la Casa del SEÑOR, en oídos de todo el pueblo.

11 Y oyendo Micaías hijo de Gemarías, hijo de Safán, todas las palabras del SEÑOR del libro,

12 descendió a la casa del rey, a la cámara del escriba, y he aquí que todos los príncipes estaban allí sentados: Elisama escriba, y Delaía hijo de Semaías, y Elnatán hijo de Acbor, y Gemarías hijo de Safán, y Sedequías hijo de Ananías, y todos los príncipes.

13 Y les contó Micaías todas las palabras que había oído leyendo Baruc en el libro a oídos del pueblo.
