Salmos 22:18

18 Repartem entre si as minhas vestes, e sobre a minha túnica lançam sortes.

Salmos 22:18 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 22:18

They part my garments among them
Such as died the death of the cross were crucified naked F8, and their clothes were the perquisites of the executioners; there were four soldiers concerned in the crucifixion of Christ, and these parted his garments into four parts, and everyone took his part;

and cast lots on my vesture;
which was a seamless coat, wove from the top to the bottom; and therefore, not willing to rend it, they cast lots upon it who should have it; all this was exactly fulfilled in Christ, ( John 19:23 John 19:24 ) .

Salmos 22:18 In-Context

16 Pois cães me rodeiam; um ajuntamento de malfeitores me cerca; transpassaram-me as mãos e os pés.
17 Posso contar todos os meus ossos. Eles me olham e ficam a mirar-me.
18 Repartem entre si as minhas vestes, e sobre a minha túnica lançam sortes.
19 Mas tu, Senhor, não te alongues de mim; força minha, apressa-te em socorrer-me.
20 Livra-me da espada, e a minha vida do poder do cão.
