3 where he stayed three months. Because the Jews made a plot against him1 just as he was about to sail for Syria,2 he decided to go back through Macedonia.3 4 He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus4 and Secundus from Thessalonica,5 Gaius6 from Derbe, Timothy7 also, and Tychicus8 and Trophimus9 from the province of Asia.10 5 These men went on ahead and waited for us11 at Troas.12 6 But we sailed from Philippi13 after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas,14 where we stayed seven days.
