The first offspring of every womb, both man and animal, that is offered to the LORD is yours.1 But you must redeem2 every firstborn3 son and every firstborn male of unclean animals.416
When they are a month old,5 you must redeem them at the redemption price set at five shekelsa6 of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel,7 which weighs twenty gerahs.8
