I have no need of a bull1 from your stall or of goats2 from your pens,3

for every animal of the forest4 is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.5

I know every bird6 in the mountains, and the creatures of the field7 are mine.

If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world8 is mine, and all that is in it.9

Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
