The first woe (h ouai h mia). Note feminine gender ascribed to the interjection ouai as in Proverbs 11:14 , perhaps because qlipsi is feminine, though we really do not know. Note also the ordinal use of mia (one) like prwth (first) as in Proverbs 6:1 ; Mark 16:2 . There come yet two Woes (ercetai eti duo Ouai). Singular number ercetai instead of ercontai, though duo ouai. It is true that ouai is an interjection and indeclinable, but it is here used with duo and is feminine just before, and not neuter.
