Acts 9:14

And here he hath authority from the chief priests
His fury and madness against the saints did not stop at Jerusalem, but he had received a commission from the sanhedrim to go to Damascus, where he now was:

to bind all that call on thy name;
to take up all such persons and put them in bonds, and carry them bound to Jerusalem, whom he should find either praying to Christ, as God, as the first Christians used to do, and which is no inconsiderable proof of the deity of Christ; or professing the name of Christ, or were called by it.

12 Yòu kànjian le yī gèrén , míng jiào Yàná ní yà , jìnlái àn shǒu zaì tā shēnshang , jiào tā néng kànjian .

13 Yàná ní yà huídá shuō , Zhǔ a , wǒ tīngjian xǔduō rén shuō , zhè rén zĕnyàng zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng duō duō kǔhaì nǐde shèngtú .

14 Bìngqiĕ tā zaì zhèlǐ yòu cóng Jìsīzhǎng dé lái de quánbǐng kúnbǎng yīqiè qiúgào nǐ míng de rén .

15 Zhǔ duì Yàná ní yà shuō , nǐ zhǐguǎn qù . tā shì wǒ suǒ jiǎnxuǎn de qìmǐn , yào zaì waìbāngrén hé jūnwáng bìng Yǐsèliè rén miànqián , xuānyáng wǒde míng .

16 Wǒ yĕ yào zhǐshì tā , wéi wǒde míng bìxū shòu xǔduō de kǔnàn .
