Luke 24:30-43

When he was at table with them, he took the bread and 1blessed and broke it and gave it to them.
2And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And 3he vanished from their sight.
They said to each other, 4"Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he 5opened to us the Scriptures?"
And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they 6found the eleven and 7those who were with them gathered together,
saying, "The Lord has risen indeed, and 8has appeared to Simon!"
Then they told what had happened on the road, and 9how he was known to them in 10the breaking of the bread.

Jesus Appears to His Disciples

As they were talking about these things, 11Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, "Peace to you!"
But they were 12startled and 13frightened and 14thought they saw a spirit.
And he said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?
See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. 15Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have."
And when he had said this, 16he showed them his hands and his feet.
And while they still disbelieved 17for joy and were marveling, 18he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
They gave him a piece of broiled fish,[a]
and he took it and ate before them.
