Storms hit our lives.  Some are rather big like cancer or a family member dying.  And when they hit we can so easily start to worry or panic like the disciples we’ll hear about today on Light on the Hill.  But that’s the time we need to remember that Jesus is in complete control and He’ll take us through the storm.  We’re just simply to trust in Him.  That’s the lesson in front of us today, as we join pastor James Kaddis in Matthew chapter eight. 

Fear is one of the great human struggles - especially in our country today. God controls the times we are living - not government. Fear is paralyzing and wretched. It ruins relationships, robs us of joy, and sometimes causes disobedience to the Word of God. You cannot just ignore it.

The potential of a world war on the horizon, inflation, bank closures, a failing economy... It’s not hard to see the world is in upheaval, people are panicking, many are walking in fear, and things seem to be getting worse.
