After that He appeared to morethanfivehundredbrethren at onetime, most of whomremainuntilnow, but some1have fallenasleep;

then He appeared to 2James, then to 3all the apostles;

and last of all, as to oneuntimelyborn, 4He appeared to me also.

For I am5the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I 6persecuted the church of God.

But by 7the grace of God I amwhat I am, and His gracetoward me did not provevain; but I 8laboredevenmore than all of them, yet9not I, but the grace of God with me.

Whetherthen it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

NowifChrist is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do someamong you say that there 10is noresurrection of the dead?

But if there is noresurrection of the dead, not evenChrist has been raised;
14
and 11ifChrist has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faithalso is vain.
15
Moreover we are evenfound to be falsewitnesses of God, because we testifiedagainstGod that He 12raisedChrist, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
16
For if the dead are not raised, not evenChrist has been raised;
