cFor by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent 4promises, so that by them you may become 5partakers of the divine nature, having 6escaped the 7corruption that is in 8the world by lust.
and in your knowledge, 12self-control, and in your self-control, 13perseverance, and in your perseverance, 14godliness,
and in your godliness, 15brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor 16unfruitful in the true 17knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For he who lacks these qualities is 18blind or short-sighted, having forgotten * his 19purification from his former sins.
Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His 20calling and 21choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never * * 22stumble;
for in this way the entrance into 23the eternal kingdom of our 24Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be 25abundantly 26supplied to you.
