24Now a Jewnamed2Apollos, an 3Alexandrian by birth, aan eloquentman, came to 4Ephesus ; and he was mighty in the Scriptures.
25Thisman had beeninstructed in 5the way of the Lord ; and beingfervent in spirit, he was speaking and teachingaccurately the things concerningJesus, beingacquaintedonly with 6the baptism of John ;
and bhe began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when 7Priscilla and Aquilaheard him, they took him aside and explained to him 8the way of Godmoreaccurately.
And when he wanted to goacross to 9Achaia, 10the brethrenencouraged him and wrote to 11the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatlychelpedthose who had believedthroughgrace,
for he powerfullyrefuted the Jews in public, demonstrating12by the Scriptures that 13Jesus was the dChrist.
