You have 5planted them, they have alsotakenroot; They grow, they have evenproducedfruit. You are 6nearato their lips But far from their bmind.
But You 7know me, O LORD; You see me; And You 8examine my heart's attitude toward You. Drag them off like sheep for the slaughter And cset them apart for a 9day of carnage!
4Howlong is the 10land to mourn And the 11vegetation of the countryside to wither? For the 12wickedness of those who dwell in it, 13Animals and birds have been snatchedaway, Because men have said, "He will not see our latter14ending."
5"If you have run with footmen and they have tired you out, Then how can you compete with horses? If you falldown in a land of peace, How will you do in the d15thicket of the Jordan?
"For even your 16brothers and the household of your father, Even they have dealttreacherously with you, Even they have criedaloudafter you. Do not believe them, although they may say17nicethings to you."
