1SoPeter and the otherdisciplewentforth, and they were going to the tomb.

The two were runningtogether; and the otherdiscipleranaheadfaster than Peter and came to the tombfirst;

and 2stooping and looking in, he saw the 3linenwrappingslying there; but he did not go in.

And soSimonPeteralsocame, following him, and entered the tomb; and he saw the linenwrappingslying there,

and 4the face-clothwhich had been on His head, not lying with the 5linenwrappings, but rolled up in a place by itself.

So the otherdisciple who 6had firstcome to the tombthenalsoentered, and he saw and believed.

For as yet7they did not understand the Scripture, 8that He mustriseagain from the dead.

So the discipleswentawayagain9to their ownhomes.

10But Mary was standingoutside the tombweeping; and so, as she wept, she 11stooped and looked into the tomb;

and she saw12twoangels in whitesitting, one at the head and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been lying.

And they said to her, "13Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because14they have takenaway my Lord, and I do not knowwhere they have laid Him."
