For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns."
Then David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, with his drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders, covered with sackcloth, fell on their faces.
Then David built an altar to the LORD there and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And he called to the LORD and He answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
But David did not count those twenty years of age and under, because the LORD had said He would multiply Israel as the stars of heaven.
"Yours, O LORD , is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the dominion, O LORD , and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
