"Then the LORD spoke to you from the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of words, but you saw no form -only a voice.
"To you it was shown that you might know that the LORD , He is God; there is no other besides Him.
"Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the LORD , He is God in heaven above and on the earth below ; there is no other.
"He led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He brought water for you out of the rock of flint.
"And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you and your sons and daughters, your male and female servants , and the Levite who is within your gates, since he has no portion or inheritance with you.
but anything that does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.
"Also you shall not neglect the Levite who is in your town, for he has no portion or inheritance among you.
"The Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and the alien, the orphan and the widow who are in your town, shall come and eat and be satisfied, in order that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.
"But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case.
"When he found her in the field, the engaged girl cried out, but there was no one to save her.
"When brothers live together and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the deceased shall not be married outside the family to a strange man. Her husband's brother shall go in to her and take her to himself as wife and perform the duty of a husband's brother to her.
"Your carcasses will be food to all birds of the sky and to the beasts of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away.
and you will grope at noon, as the blind man gropes in darkness, and you will not prosper in your ways; but you shall only be oppressed and robbed continually , with none to save you.
"Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat of it; your donkey shall be torn away from you, and will not be restored to you; your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you will have none to save you.
"Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, while your eyes look on and yearn for them continually ; but there will be nothing you can do.
"The LORD will bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way about which I spoke to you, 'You will never see it again!' And there you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves , but there will be no buyer."
"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
"The LORD alone guided him, And there was no foreign god with him.
"For they are a nation lacking in counsel, And there is no understanding in them.
'See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
"There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majesty.
