When someone invites us over for dinner, there are some common courtesies that we generally abide by. Maybe we’re asked to take off our shoes before entering so we do, and we don’t just open their fridge and have at it, we politely ask them first. Today on Sound Doctrine we turn to Matthew chapter 22, where we learn that we’ve been invited to the greatest feast of all time. But you can’t come your own way, you must come God’s way.

We can’t make ourselves acceptable to God but He can. God in His grace freely gives us what we don’t deserve and can never earn. That is good news! Yet it’s a stumbling block for some as we’ll learn on today’s Study The Word.
