The Gospel of Luke continues to receive our attention here today, and chapter four serves as a source of great encouragement as we set out to overcome temptation. Pastor John will soon show us how Christ utilized the Word of God as a counter measure to satan’s attacks in the wilderness. We’d do well to follow His example. John focuses on the temptation of Christ, and then the temptation of the Christian.

We face temptations to sin virtually every day. Is it possible to resist and be victorious over it? Christ was and we can too if we’ll follow His example. So He not only understands temptation but also can help us when we face it. That’s our focus today on a Daily Walk. Our teacher as always is John Randall. We’ve been studying the gospel of Luke here lately. And we’re about to enter into chapter four – which speaks of the temptation of Jesus.

Pastor Jack and David J. discuss Jack's new book 'Temptation: The Battle Of Your Life'. In this practical look at the temptation of Jesus, you will discover how you can build an effective defense against Satan's subtle and not so subtle attacks. You do not need to let temptation trip you up ever again.

Although the battle with temptation may be fierce, Scripture makes it clear that our High Priest can sympathize with our weakness because He was tempted also, yet He did not sin.
