Galatians 1:18-24 NLT/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

New Living Translation (NLT) New International Version (NIV)
18 It was not until three years later that I finally went to Jerusalem for a visit with Peter and stayed there with him for fifteen days. 18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Peter and stayed with him fifteen days.
19 And the only other apostle I met at that time was James, our Lord's brother. 19 I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother.
20 You must believe what I am saying, for I declare before God that I am not lying. 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
21 Then after this visit, I went north into the provinces of Syria and Cilicia. 21 Later I went to Syria and Cilicia.
22 And still the Christians in the churches in Judea didn't know me personally. 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
23 All they knew was that people were saying, "The one who used to persecute us now preaches the very faith he tried to destroy!" 23 They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."
24 And they gave glory to God because of me. 24 And they praised God because of me.
