And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why then do I yet suffer persecution? Then would the offense of the cross cease. 11 Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.
I would that they were even cut off which trouble you! 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion of the flesh, but by love serve one another. 13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye not be consumed one by another. 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.
But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, quarreling, rivalry, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
envying, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like. About these things I tell you again, as I have also told you in times past, that those who do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
