Douay-Rheims (RHE) New International Version (NIV)
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bosra, this beautiful one in his robe, walking in the greatness of his strength. I, that speak justice, and am a defender to save. 1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? "It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save."
Why then is thy apparel red, and thy garments like theirs that tread in the winepress? 2 Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress?
I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the Gentiles there is not a man with me: I have trampled on them in my indignation, and have trodden them down in my wrath, and their blood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my apparel. 3 "I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.
For the day of vengeance is in my heart, the year of my redemption is come. 4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redemption has come.
I looked about, and there was none to help: I sought, and there was none to give aid: and my own arm hath saved for me, and my indignation itself hath helped me. 5 I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me.
And I have trodden down the people in my wrath, and have made them drunk in my indignation, and have brought down their strength to the earth. 6 I trampled the nations in my anger; in my wrath I made them drunk and poured their blood on the ground."
