John 7:3-10 KJV/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

King James Version (KJV) New International Version (NIV)
His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest . 3 Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do.
For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly . If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. 4 No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world."
For neither did his brethren believe in him. 5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him.
Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come : but your time is alway ready. 6 Therefore Jesus told them, "The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right.
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth , because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.
Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come . 8 You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come."
When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. 9 Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.
But when his brethren were gone up , then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. 10 However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.
