31 "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; 31 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you as wheat.
32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers." 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."
33 But he said to Him, "Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!" 33 But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."
34 And He said, "I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me." 34 Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me."
35 And He said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing." 35 Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" "Nothing," they answered.
36 And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one. 36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.
37 "For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, 'AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS '; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment." 37 It is written: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors'; and I tell you that this must be fulfilled in me. Yes, what is written about me is reaching its fulfillment."
38 They said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough." 38 The disciples said, "See, Lord, here are two swords." "That is enough," he replied.
39 And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him. 39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him.
40 When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation."
41 And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, 41 He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed,
