1 Corinthians 6:12-20

VULA 12 omnia mihi licent sed non omnia expediunt omnia mihi licent sed ego sub nullius redigar potestate NIV 12 "Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything. VULA 13 esca ventri et venter escis Deus autem et hunc et haec destruet corpus autem non fornicationi sed Domino et Dominus corpori NIV 13 "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. VULA 14 Deus vero et Dominum suscitavit et nos suscitabit per virtutem suam NIV 14 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. VULA 15 nescitis quoniam corpora vestra membra Christi sunt tollens ergo membra Christi faciam membra meretricis absit NIV 15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! VULA 16 an nescitis quoniam qui adheret meretrici unum corpus efficitur erunt enim inquit duo in carne una NIV 16 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." VULA 17 qui autem adheret Domino unus spiritus est NIV 17 But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. VULA 18 fugite fornicationem omne peccatum quodcumque fecerit homo extra corpus est qui autem fornicatur in corpus suum peccat NIV 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. VULA 19 an nescitis quoniam membra vestra templum est Spiritus Sancti qui in vobis est quem habetis a Deo et non estis vestri NIV 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; VULA 20 empti enim estis pretio magno glorificate et portate Deum in corpore vestro NIV 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
