1 Timothy 2:1-7

KJV 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; NIV 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- KJV 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. NIV 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. NIV 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time. KJV 7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. NIV 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am telling the truth, I am not lying--and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
