NIV 31 "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. NLT 32 For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? NIV 32 For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God? NLT 33 God is my strong fortress; he has made my way safe. NIV 33 It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. NLT 34 He makes me as surefooted as a deer, leading me safely along the mountain heights. NIV 34 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. NLT 35 He prepares me for battle; he strengthens me to draw a bow of bronze. NIV 35 He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. NLT 36 You have given me the shield of your salvation; your help has made me great. NIV 40 You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet. NLT 41 You made them turn and run; I have destroyed all who hated me. NIV 41 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes. NLT 42 They called for help, but no one came to rescue them. They cried to the LORD, but he refused to answer them. NIV 42 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them-- to the LORD, but he did not answer. NLT 43 I ground them as fine as the dust of the earth; I swept them into the gutter like dirt." You preserved me as the ruler over nations; people I don't even know now serve me. NIV 44 "You have delivered me from the attacks of my people; you have preserved me as the head of nations. People I did not know are subject to me, NLT 45 Foreigners cringe before me; as soon as they hear of me, they submit. NIV 45 and foreigners come cringing to me; as soon as they hear me, they obey me. NLT 46 They all lose their courage and come trembling from their strongholds." NIV 46 They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds. NLT 47 "The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock! May God, the rock of my salvation, be exalted! NIV 47 "The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior! NLT 48 He is the God who pays back those who harm me; he subdues the nations under me NIV 48 He is the God who avenges me, who puts the nations under me, NLT 49 and rescues me from my enemies.
