Colossians 1:15-20

NLT 15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, NIV 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. NLT 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. NIV 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. NLT 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. NIV 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. NLT 18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. NIV 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. NLT 19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, NIV 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, NLT 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. NIV 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
