Ecclesiastes 10:12-15

RSV 12 The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him. NIV 12 Words from a wise man's mouth are gracious, but a fool is consumed by his own lips. RSV 13 The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness, and the end of his talk is wicked madness. NIV 13 At the beginning his words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness-- RSV 14 A fool multiplies words, though no man knows what is to be, and who can tell him what will be after him? NIV 14 and the fool multiplies words. No one knows what is coming-- who can tell him what will happen after him? RSV 15 The toil of a fool wearies him, so that he does not know the way to the city. NIV 15 A fool's work wearies him; he does not know the way to town.
