Ecclesiastes 6:7-9

CEBA 7 All the hard work of humans is for the mouth, but the appetite is never full. NIV 7 All man's efforts are for his mouth, yet his appetite is never satisfied. CEBA 8 What advantage do the wise have over the foolish? Or what do the poor gain by knowing how to conduct themselves before the living? NIV 8 What advantage has a wise man over a fool? What does a poor man gain by knowing how to conduct himself before others? CEBA 9 It's better to enjoy what's at hand than to have an insatiable appetite. This too is pointless, just wind chasing. NIV 9 Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
